TIC Assurance B.V. processes your personal data because you make use of our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.

Our website and/or service has no intention to collect data of website visitors below the age of 16 years. Unless they have permission from their parents or legal guardian. However, we can’t control whether a visitor is over the age of 16 years. That is why we strongly advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. When you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us via mail@tic-assurance.nl. We will then remove this information.
Concerning the purpose we have in collecting personal data that we process, and on what basis we do so
TIC Assurance B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- To send our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
- To be able to call or email you if this is necessary to provide our service
- To inform you about changes to our services and products
- TIC Assurance B.V. analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and to adjust the range of products and services to your preferences.
- TIC Assurance B.V. follows surfing behaviour across various websites, which allows us to adapt our products and services according to your needs.
How long do we store personal data?
TIC Assurance B.V. stores your personal data no longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data was collected.
We perform a yearly clearing of the customer and data files for every application. The personal data is stored and used for a period in accordance with the applicable law and objectives.
Sharing of personal data with third parties
TIC Assurance B.V. will only provide data to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you, or to meet a legal requirement.
Cookies, or comparable techniques, which we use
TIC Assurance B.V. only uses technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies that do not infringe upon your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your PC, tablet or smartphone upon your first visit to this website. The cookies that we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website, and for your convenience. They ensure that the website functions properly and they can, for example, remember your preferences. We can also use them to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by changing the settings of your web browser so that it no longer stores cookies. Besides that, you can also delete any information that was stored earlier via the settings of your browser.
Reviewing, updating or removing data
You have the right to review, correct or remove you personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw consent for the processing of data, or object to the processing of your personal data by TIC Assurance B.V., and you have the right to data portability. The latter means you can submit a request telling us to send the personal data we have about you in a computer file to yourself or to a third party which you specify.
You can submit a request to review, correct, remove or transfer your personal data, or a request to withdraw your permission, or object to the processing of your personal data to mail@tic-assurance.nl.
In order to ensure that the request to review is made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identity document with the request. On this copy, blacken your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Social Security Number (BSN). This to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and at least within four weeks.

How we protect personal data
TIC Assurance B.V. takes the protection of your data very seriously and shall take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted publication and unauthorised alteration.
